— best known as a pianist, Art Lande plays drums on this set of his compositions performed with a trio of Colorado musicians that he's been improvising with over the last two years; Lande, plus Jayn Pettingill (sax), Doug Anderson (bass) and Emily Takahashi (piano), perform a series of short improvs that start quietly, with a lot of space, and builds up a bit of steam; in between are a couple strange spoken work interludes
