     Trumpet player Eddie Gale has performed with Cecil Taylor, Larry Young, Sun Ra, John Coltrane, Jackie McLean, Art Blakey and others.
     Last year he released Afro-Fire (Black Beauty ), a sequel to his pair of Blue Note recordings, Ghetto Music (1968 ) and Black Rhythm Happening (1969 ), both reissued recently by Water Records.
     This concert marks one of Gale's first visits to the east coast in over three decades.
